Swimming World Magazine reported on the announcement that UBC Sports Hall of Fame member and UBC Kinesiology alumnus Brian Johns has been appointed to the position of head coach and director of swimming for the Vancouver Pacific Swim Club.
“I’m a firm believer you can develop fast swimmers anywhere but having this new pool will foster the growth of the sport because you have more people in the club and more people at UBC,” said Johns.
